Codfish Gear co-founder was there to race the Red Dog and try and get ever closer to a win at this event. However, he and his skipper Mike Gahan as well as crew Dana ended up playing second fiddle again. Congrats to the winners! This weekend, the Cottage Park Yacht Club is hosting the 15th Make-a-Wish Regatta to benefit the Make-a-Wish Foundation of Greater Boston. This is a fabulous event that draws hundreds of sailors from across the state to compete and raise money for a great cause. For the 6th year, Codfish Gear has designed and supplied the regatta t-shirts as well as made a donation of Codfish Gear and a custom made tote bag created from sail cloth by our Co-Founder Patricia McNamara-Vannoni to the event’s silent auction. If you are in the area of CPYC this weekend, you should definitely stop by, bid on the auction items, buy some raffle tickets or even leave a donation for the cause. It is in touch economic times like these that the Make-a-Wish Foundation needs our help even more.

After months of planning and coding, we’ve made a few changes to the Codfish Gear web site. Notably, our brand now has its own section. The site features our t-shirt, hats, sweats and more that feature our fish and text logos. Now it is even easier to Put a Cod on Your Bod for all your fun activities. The site features the classics and will soon show off some of our new designs. We will be doing even more with this site over the next few months, but we wanted to give you an opportunity to not only buy some great Codfish Gear, but also send us your stories and photos. We have already had people share their “Fish Tales” from all over the world, and now feature this on the site.
Also, a new feature of the site is the Fish Market. In addition to our own brand, we offer full service customization of clothing and marketing merchandise. The Fish Market is a new home for our customers to sell these Customized Cods and make their lives easier. As of our launch, we are currently offering wears from the Bates College Sailing Club and kickgrasslandscaping.com.
Stay tuned for the updates, and feel free to share your Fish Tales with us. And always, Put a Cod on Your Bod.
